Windows and Mac computer

On a computer the quickest option is opening the M3U link in VLC. If you prefer a programme guide and tidy lists, use an IPTV player for Windows or Mac.

Recommended apps

    Free and open source; opens the M3U link directly.

  • IPTV Smarters Pro

    Has Windows and Mac versions; supports Xtream Codes.

These are third-party apps, not affiliated with Sofazo. Their names, features and prices may change, and some are paid.

Step by step

With VLC and the M3U link

  1. Download VLC from its official website and install it.
  2. Open “My order” on sofazo.com, find your order and press “Show” to see your server, username, password and M3U link.
  3. On Windows: Media → Open Network Stream. On Mac: File → Open Network.
  4. Paste the M3U link and press “Play” or “Open”.
  5. Open the playlist (Ctrl+L or Cmd+L) to pick a channel.

With Xtream Codes (recommended)

  1. Download IPTV Smarters for Windows or Mac from its official website and install it.
  2. Open “My order” on sofazo.com, find your order and press “Show” to see your server, username, password and M3U link.
  3. In the app, choose “Login with Xtream Codes API” (or “Add user” → “Xtream Codes”).
  4. Fill in the fields: name (anything you like, e.g. “Sofazo”), username, password and server URL, exactly as shown in “My order”.
  5. Press “Add” or “Login” and wait for the channels and guide to load. The first time it can take a couple of minutes.

Common problems

  • Nothing loads or login fails

    It is almost always a copy error: an extra space, a capital letter or an incomplete server URL. Copy them again from “My order” and check the URL includes “http://” and the port if it has one.

  • The picture stutters or freezes

    Use an ethernet cable if you can, close other downloads and restart the app and the router. You need a steady 15–20 Mbps per screen.

  • It worked and now it doesn’t

    Check your plan’s expiry date in “My order”. If it has expired, you can renew it from the plans page.

  • It works on another network but not on yours

    Some internet providers block certain servers. Email us at info@sofazo.com with your provider’s name and we’ll help.
